Doomsday clock

It was maintained since 1947 by the board of directors of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at the University of Chicago. The closer the clock is to midnight, the closer the world is estimated to be to global disaster. As of January 14, 2010 (2010 -01-14)^[update], the Doomsday Clock now stands at six minutes to midnight.^[1][2] Since its creation, the time on the clock has changed 19 times.

末日鐘，又叫末日時鐘（英語：Doomsday Clock）是一虛構鐘面，由芝加哥大學的《原子科學家公報》（Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists）雜誌於1947年設立，標示出世界受核武威脅的程度：午夜零時象徵核戰爆發，雜誌社因應世界局勢將分針撥前或撥後，以此提醒各界正視問題。最近一次調整在2010年1 月14日，分鐘被撥後1分鐘，距離子夜僅6分鐘
